Власти Москвы предлагают внести изменения в «Кодекс РФ об административных правонарушениях» с целью увеличения штрафа для водителей автомобилей, необоснованно занимающих парковочные места, предназначенные для машин инвалидов, в 25 раз. Мэр Москвы Юрий Лужков одобрил законопроект Московской городской Думы «О внесении изменений в Кодекс Российской Федерации об административных правонарушениях».
Как пишет РИА «Новости», предлагается внести изменения в кодекс, так как законодательством об административных правонарушениях не предусмотрено наказание водителей машин за создание препятствий перемещению инвалидов, передвигающихся на креслах-колясках, путем блокирования въездов на пандусы либо за стоянку транспортных средств на обозначенных местах остановки маршрутных транспортных средств, препятствующую свободному входу-выходу пассажиров.
Кроме того, административное наказание водителей, нарушающих правила остановки или стоянки транспортных средств в местах, отведенных для стоянки машин инвалидов, в виде предупреждения или штрафа в размере двухсот рублей «неоправданно смягчено и нуждается в увеличении штрафа до размера пяти тысяч рублей».
